Administration Announces Funding for “Clean Transportation”

Ride and Drive Electric funding provided through Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

The Departments of Energy and Transportation have announced a collaborative grant that will advance transportation electrification. The Ride and Drive Electric grant program makes $51 million available for electric vehicle (EV) stations in rural and hard-to-reach locations. The two departments have also launched the National Charging Experience Consortium to address any issues related to EV station installations.

“Thanks to President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, we are developing a robust and reliable EV charging network that is accessible in all communities and easy to use for all riders and drivers,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. “Rapidly modernizing and electrifying key parts of our transportation sector is how we’ll meet consumer needs and achieve widespread electrification.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For discernment for Secretary Granholm as she implements the president’s energy policies.
  • For Secretary Buttigieg as he heads the Transportation Department.
  • For the president and his administration as they pursue a national electric vehicle charging network.
